Hi, Ive just booked flights and accomodation inc tickets for disneyland paris (flying from uk). it is the only disney hotel that doesn't have a shuttle service to the resort, and it DOES state that own transport is needed, I really dont want to drive in france, and wondered if anyone had stayed there without transport. from what I can gather from reading bus/train routes, no public transport goes to the davy crockett ranch, I cant find anything on any reviews about non drivers. thanks

To all of you thinking about flying with Egypt Air, I would like to make sure you think very very carefully before you book with this airline!!! My mother in law was stuck in Cairo as all UK airports were closed from Thursday 15 April 12:00 due to the volcanic ash; she was due to arrive Thursday afternoon. Staff in Cairo were so unhelpful, not caring about a poor old lady travelling on her own worried about not being able to get to the UK to see her son. This seemed to be the case with all passengers; lack of communication, guidance and effort seemed to be the biggest frustrations. They were put into the most amazing hotel on Thursday night only to be kicked out onto the streets of this foreign country by the hotel the day after telling the passengers that Egypt Air would only fund ONE night and that they need to leave. I myself always look for cheaper travel options and have previously considered flying with Egypt Air; sadly I was the person that recommended the airline to my mother in law based on the price. Walking the streets alone back and forth to and from the airport with all her luggage asking every single person for help yet Egypt Air were just as unhelpful and unwilling to go even an inch further than what they're paid to, what happened to taking some pride in your work? Broke and not knowing where she will be sleeping on Friday night and even if she'll be able to get to the UK she ended up flying back home abused and battered throughout her journey. We will in a few weeks time pay for another ticket through A DIFFERENT AIRLINE. I don't care how much cheaper Egypt Air is to any big parastatals out there, you can at the end of the day not put a price on having a peace of mind knowing that even if you don’t get from A to B, that you’ll be taken care of either way. I also spoke to their UK office, this experience could mostly be prescribed as RUDE and unhelpful, but also a “don’t care” attitude, ironically I phoned through to their sales department. I’m sorry I wasted even more money thinking that I would get anything more out of the UK office than the treatment they received in Cairo. I will go to the ends of the earth to notify every single person I know that Egypt Air is no more than a glorified bus, they’re very willing and happy to take your money when you get on, but couldn't care less if you fall out of the window while on your journey!! I am embarrassed for ever recommending them to somebody I know, this will never happen again!!! They don't deserve the honor of flying anybody anywhere no matter what they charge!!!

guys, i have written a motivation to study at the university. who can check it? i also would like to heard a critics and something what i need to change or add or remove. please, help me. motivation is very important. Dear Sir or Madam, I am Evelina and I come from Latvia and currently I am living in the UK. I graduated from the gymnasium last year. I have heard a lot about Scotland, its culture and traditions. Some of my friends, who study there, have told me many interesting things about this part of England. Having read some articles and heard some reviews from others, I decided that Scotland is the best option for me. Since I love geography and traveling, I would like to be in touch with English culture, its architecture, lifestyle, interesting people, and find myself there. I have always been interested in business, administration and IT. That is why I have chosen Scotland as a place where I can study it. And therefore, this is the best place for me to find myself in this sphere, because I am an enthusiastic, with a love of people and a determination to succeed. I imagine a career which is: fast moving, gives me the opportunity for rapid promotion, is logical and practical, provides the chance to work wherever I want.I have always enjoyed learning about business. I found it fascinating. So it is quite easy for me to talk about my career ambitions (business) and what I want to do (be employed in the field of business and IT). What concerns my traits, I suppose that I am very well prepared for business and administration. To my mind, a business background is an excellent way to a good career. I have took a gap year after school and moved to United Kingdom for understanding myself – what I really want to do in my life, to improve my English skills and gain some work and life experience ,to meet new people as well. When I was at school, I worked as a secretary in the office one of my summer holiday in Czech Republic and I liked that job more rather than my current job (general assistant at the hotel). It is good I can make a comparison between such different part of work, that is why I decided that hospitality is not what I want to study and to do. Now, after long consideration, I came to the most obvious and elementary decision – business, administration and IT field is something that I want and what I need. I would like to mention my achievements in mathematics and drawing while I was at school. I am really good at problem-solving and figuring things out, at logic and analyses. I am engaged in plotting and drawing at school and also at the art school. And once, my figure has been noted at an exhibition in Macedonia. I am a good PC user (Excel, MS-Office) as well. I think, my decision to study this particular course, was affected by my father who worked both as a construction superintendent, and an engineer. He drew and designed a lot, work on the computer, communicated with people, and was responsible for many projects. I have always watched and listened carefully to how he did his job, and have learnt a lot from him. I think I got my drawing skills, my responsibility, my logical and analytical mind and the ability to come up with fast and right decisions, from my father. I played a lot of sports as a kid. This is where I have learned the values of teamwork, how to win, how to work hard, how to focus and concentrate, and how to find a balance between my time and priorities. And I suppose that the gained experience will be quite valuable for my future life and career. To sum up, I think to study abroad is an excellent way to broaden my horizons, to make new friends, to get not only theoretical but and practical knowledge. It is wonderful starting to communicate with international people and without recognition beginning to look at world a little bit differ. In my opinion, Scotland can provide a lot of opportunities for my future career. It’s the best place to study, live and work. Studying in Scotland would be a great experience for me. I am sure I will do my best there. Thank you for considering my application Yours faithfully,

Hi! I entered this competition to win a hotel voucher, I am still waiting to find out if I have won, but just wanted to know if anyone else has participated and whether you think the chances are high that I win? http://www.trivago.co.uk/static.php?&sid=2033 I enjoy writing so I wrote 5 reviews giving me 5 vouchers for the draw, so I hope this will be enough to make an impact to win. Let me know what you think, has anyone ever won something in online competitions or is it just a waste of time? I will let you know if I win!

I was surfing on the Internet and found this Christmas competition that has just started online. The trivago Christmas Competition. http://www.trivago.co.uk/static.php?&sid=2033 I was just wondering whether anyone else had participated in the competition and what they think? They are giving away different hotel vouchers every day and all you have to do is write a review. I have traveled a lot and was thinking of writing a lot of reviews for the competition, but I was wondering what other people thought? http://www.trivago.co.uk/static.php?&sid=2033 I will write a review today and see what happens, it seems like a really cool site and who knows, maybe I will win! :) Do anyone else have any experiences with competitions like this? It would be really great to win a free weekend in a hotel next year! Thanks!

Hi ... I am from London, UK and I am visiting New York for the first time in January 2010. I was wondering if anyone could give me any advice they can on the Wellington Hotel? I know that it is in an excellent location but have read many bad reviews on it. I was hoping someone could give me more of an insight to the hotels feel, food, staff and room quality etc. If anyone could help me before I book this hotel, I would be very thankful as I want to ensure I make the right choice. Thank You! =o)

hey i am a 15 year old in the UK and have been working at a hotel/cafe for a year. i have been working at £3.25 an hour, whilst my co-wokers one the same age,is working at 3.75 and the other who has just started is 16 and has been started at 3.90. i feel constantly intimadated by my boss who is a woman, she is always negative, and when she stressed takes it out on all the girls(waitresses) in the kitchen, i usually work 8 till 4 and get an unpaid lunch break of half an hour! in the holidays she can ask me to do anything up to 4-5 days a week. my boss has just told me that i will not be getting a pay rise, even know when i started they said i would get a pay rise reviewed in a few months from then. i also have exams at the moment, and need to ring in and say i cant woek the one day at the weekend, but i am actually too scared to ring because i know she will say i am letting her down again. this was only meant to be a saturday job, do you think its time i handed in my notice, and just had a summer of no work and no stresses whilst i still can at 15??? thanks so ,much for reading xoxo i didn't actually have a review, i asked her when it would be because a year had passed and she said i will soon get one but it will only be going over what i need to improve, and then she just said and you will not be getting a pay rise so. and yes i understand performance, and i really am taking on everything she says, but she constantly has to pick on everything that she doesnt with the others. even i asked my co-worker whilst chambermaiding, what she thought, and she said my boss does seem to have it in for me!

My boyfriend and me are planning to go to India in June for a wedding and are currently looking for somewhere to stay. We'll be staying for about 10 days, can't afford anything too expensive as we are students but as long as it's clean, air conditioned and has trustworthy food, anything goes, it's mainly a place to sleep as we will be out and about a lot. Has anyone got experience with this hotel by any chance: http://www.hotelajanta.com/ It looks really nice and is affordable, reviews on trip advisor are mixed though so any experiences would be appreciated. Also any thoughts on how long it takes for UK/German citizen to get a visa? I've done it before but it's been a while and I would like to know when to start planning!

Britain's 10 dirtiest hotels have been named and shamed by the world's largest review site, Tripadvisor. The Cromwell Crown in Earls Court, London, was given the non-coveted award as the country's worst hotel. Almost 65% of travellers had condemned the £50-a-night accommodation with a one-star review on Tripadvisor's website.... So where is the worst place you have stayed and would you like to enlighten us to why? http://news.sky.com/skynews/Home/UK-News/UKs-10-Worst-Hotels-Tripadvisor-List-Of-Britains-Dirty-Establishments-Cromwell-Crown-Tops-List/Article/200903115233190?lpos=UK_News_Second_Home_Page_Article_Teaser_Region_8&lid=ARTICLE_15233190_UKs_10_Worst_Hotels%3A_Tripadvisor_List_Of_Britains_Dirty_Establishments%2C_Cromwell_Crown_Tops_List I'm VERY curious mum to Olivia Rose, how YOU can answer my questions when I have you BLOCKED?????

I'm looking to book a hotel for 3 nights in Paris, and while searching for some reviews on sites like tripadvisor.com have found some comments suggesting that hotels booked through the company never received the payment/booking and there have been major problems with reservations. Is this common, and have other people had similar experiences? Or does anyone use their service regularly and find them to be fine? Also, I also read somewhere that the price that is shown next to the hotels on the search results isn't the final price and that a 25% surcharge is applied? Is that true? Thank you!

I have booked 4 nights stay at the Verve Hotel at 29Th Street Long Island City, NY, has anyone been there who would care to share their experience? or does anyone know about this location, i.e is it safe and reasonably close to Manhattan or know the easiest way to get to Manhattan, I booked this Hotel in a rush as the price was good and all the other hotels I wanted to stay in were booked up. I have seen two review on priceline.com and they were rather lacking on General feedback, I am from the UK so i do not know anything about the location and is there anywhere near by or routes that i should avoid with mugging and attacks in mind, Thanks :-) This is for WDF, if you have nothing constructive to say then please don't ,you are not funny neither is your poor spelling, you can’t even spell slang for "Don't know" lol If you have left school then can I suggest further education, I f you are still at school then concentrate more especially in spelling tests ;-)

Want to go in June for 2weeks and it seems to be cheaper to book through an american website (im in uk), is this possible and what tax will i have to add to total? Also could do with some help on cheap-ish hotels, the stratosphere was sounding good till a couple of reviews said the area is rough at night, though we would intend to hire a car. Basically want help with finding a decent priced holiday to vegas :) ps dont mind flights not being direct

I live in the UK. I just wondered if anyone who has stayed at the Carlton hotel in Sandown fairly recently could tell me what it is like. I have read a few guests' reviews of this hotel and they gave it 1/10 and said amongst other things that their beds were infested with bed bugs. Any information would be helpful.

I'm from the UK and planning to visit Chicago and want a 4 or 5 * really nice hotel that's in a great location, ie in walking distance of shops, pier etc. I have been looking at the Drake and Sheraton in particular. Reviews seem to be mixed and I can't decide, any advice would be helpful, thanks!

I'm a 20 year old female planning to travel around the UK next summer alone, possibly staying at youth hostels from time to time. I certainly don't expect them to be up to par with the Hilton, but has anyone who has stayed at them before willing to offer a "review" of their experience? Also, any tips for what I should bring with me/leave at home? I've been to the UK a number of times, but always packed way too much and stayed in nice hotels, so I need some tips for how to pack lighter without leaving out anything important as well as avoid problems at a hostel.

I want to do up a novel/guide book. Kind of like Hitchhikers guide to the galaxy except for a Psycho's Guide. I would like all who answer this to write a review (Fake of course) to a hotel. Must have the following things in mind when writing it: - Resident Psycho: Traits/Politeness/Murderer or Hostage taker. - Rooms: Neat/Messy/Blood all over the room/Room contains everything your desire to be perfect - Food: Strange/Perfect/Eating off the Floor - Surroundings: Forest/Beach/Middle of Nowhere texas Give each area a rating and and overall rating out of 5 axes. Feel free to email me your review and pass this challenge onto friends. Just make sure I can email you back with the a copy of the final result/draft so you can see you review. For those who might have heard of something similar this was inspired by the UK sci-fi show RED DWARF. This is not for me to take credit. This is for purely personal pleasure. Its also a way for people to let there creative minds flow see how twisted others can be. I have no desire to get this published only pass it to those who have contributed. THIS IS FOR FUN PEOPLE. Like those silly 'answer these 100 questions" type email.

People please read the review from the 6th/7th paragraph on- re the man being mugged by a guy with a machete- in his own hotel room- the hotel i am supposed to spend two weeks in.... Gilbert- thank you for your reassurance- the hotel is the Riu Mambo in Puerto Plata.

I'm planning on spending this weekend there with my girlfriend, and we're looking for a decent double room somewhere clean, quiet, central and preferably with en suite. I don't want to pay much more than £60 per night. I had been considering the West Beach Hotel, but have read some bad reviews online......

I am planning a trip to possibly Ibiza or the like... We have a group of girls who can REALLY drink, and have all sorts of incomes (high and low)... I figured an all inclusive would be the best bet but after reading reviews ( on Ibiza hotels in particular) people say they are looked down upon. I have done all inclusive in Jamaica (5 star) and the US Virgin Islands (5 star) and they were reccomended by my travel agent. So I am not sure what the problem is overseas? Is this a british thing (I know Ibiza is a hot spot for the British)? I know there are not many all inclusives in the UK..... THANKS! after seeing some responses let me add...we fully plan on eating off the resort as much as possible, but the all inclusive includes free drinks, food (for the stragglers who dont go out) and peace of mind for the people who don't have a ton of money.

My gf and I are going back to Paris in Nov 07. We are looking for a different hotel than last time and have found the Artus (gf saw it in Elle magazine). The pictures in Elle / on the website are much nicer than the candid pictures on Tripadvisor (http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review-g187147-d194278-Reviews-Artus_Hotel-Paris_Ile_de_France.html). Since its renovation, are the hotel rooms similar to the official website (http://www.expedia.co.uk/pub/agent.dll?qscr=dspv&flag=l&itid=&itdx=&itty=&from=f&foop=0&hwrq=&htid=53532&spsh=&spsi=&crti=4&nfla=1) / tripadvisor pictures or are the advertised pictures a bit misleading? Thanks in advance. PS If you have any recent pictures Id be grateful if you could send them to me / link me to them.

I'm wondering if anyone has eaten here. Can you give me some average prices of the food and the quality? Any sandwich you would reccomend? Here's their website: http://www.eat.co.uk/ I'm an American travelling through Gatwick and will spend the night at a nearby hotel. I can't afford the hotel food and I plan to stock up for the night at one of the restaurants in Gatwick. This "Eat" place seems pretty healthy and hopefully reasonably priced. So, I'd really appreciate some price information and any general reviews you may have. Thank you.
